Nanotechnology Research Center (NTRC) was founded on January 16, 2002. As the Center of ITRI’s overall nanotechnology program, NTRC performs several important functions. It is, first of all, the program’s strategic planning center, collecting information and conducting overall program planning on a continuous basis. Next, it serves as the program’s management center, monitoring its progress and managing its stakeholder interfaces. Furthermore, it is the program’s focal point of contact with the outside world, constantly seeking closer working relationships with industry, academia and international partners. Finally, it is a cutting-edge common research facility center, supporting ITRI’s own nanotechnology research as well as managing the linkages with outside facility centers in a networked manner.
