Operation

For year 2004, NTRC has an annual budget of NT$1.7 billion (US $ 51 million) for 111 projects, two thirds of which are for materials, chemicals and microelectronics.

NTRC has a core staff handling project management and external communications. An R&D project is typically carried out by a multi-disciplinary team with connections to several ITRI laboratories. There are many visiting researchers from industrial and academic partners. NTRC also operates a common facility center with a variety of ultra-modern and expensive equipment, accessible to partners on a cost-sharing basis.
